AGE of AGE, an exhibition about ageism

AGE of AGE, an exhibition about ageism

Opening Reception: July 8 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm
Closing Event: Saturday, July 30 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm

Our July gallery show, AGE of AGE, is sponsored by Art to Change the World. This amazing organization, (www.arttochangetheworld.org) conceived and founded by Barbara Bridges, has invited twenty artists, in teams of two, to consider issues surrounding the social concerns about how we allow a person’s age to influence or affect how we view them as human beings.  The ages of the two members of each team must be at least twenty years apart.  Choice of medium for the resulting artwork is left entirely up to each team, thus the show will present painting, collage, 3D constructions, video work, letterpress printing and more.

The artist teams featured in the exhibition include:

  • Bronwyn Waid 25 and Rebecca David 54
  • Madalina Kelner 25 and Layl McDill 51
  • Cory Favre 39 and Nina Martine Robinson 60
  • Catherine Palmer 53 and Marie Sipe 72
