WHAT IF …? Marion Angelica
For the past year, our window shows have proven surprisingly successful in continuing to meet our goal of bring good, local, art to our community. Many individuals who might have paused before coming into the gallery have readily stopped, with an ease that has impressed us, to view artwork in the windows. We hope Marion’s ceramics work evoke the same kinds of responses and that once we reopen, our “window fans” decide it would be okay to come inside an continue feeding their spirit with good art.”
About this show, Marion writes: In regard to my studio work, my favorite phrase is “What if…?” It leads me to explore and pushes me to try new ideas and new techniques. I often start with a simple idea or inspiration but by repeatedly asking “what if…” I find new avenues and new variations that take me along exciting paths. This phrase continually drives me to try new directions. The work in each of the three window sections at Homewood Studios reflects three different directions I have been exploring in the past two years.
